The organization of the XV Mitja Marató de Formentera and the 8KM Sant Ferran-La Savina, which will be held on May 11, 2024, announces the result of the draw held before a notary today in Formentera to allocate the places, after the end of the pre-registration process, there were 6,974 applications for participation, more than double the limit of runners allowed between both events.

In the drawing before a notary held this morning at the Formentera Council headquarters, the successful pre-registered participants in the Mitja Marató were those with registration numbers between 1,138 and 3,137. For the short test, the 8KM Sant Ferran-La Savina, the winners were those pre-registered between 9,611-10,493 and between 8,001-8118. Once the draw has been carried out, the winners can confirm their registration between December 23 and January 12.

It should be remembered that regular residents of Formentera and participants in five or more editions were excluded from this pre-registration process and the draw, who in both cases had preference for a place. As has become common in recent editions of the event, which has the institutional sponsorship of the Formentera Council and the Government of the Balearic Islands, the high demand for participation and the island's own territorial limitations force the organization to establish this registration system to cover the 3,000 participants allowed between both tests for the 2024 edition.
