As in previous editions, Ecopilas will once again be with us at the Formentera Half Marathon, promoting its commitment to battery collection. Ecopilas will also be presenting a gift to all those who drop off their used batteries at the stand located next to the race number collection tent at the La Savina finish line on race day.
In addition, in collaboration with the Formentera Council and the Balearic Islands Government, an activity will also be held in the island’s schools to raise awareness among young people about the importance of recycling these highly polluting materials.
Ecopilas will be presenting a suitcase to the winner of both the Half Marathon and the 8km race.
‘Setmanes Gastronòmiques’: from May 12 to 25
If you’re participating in the 2025 Formentera Half Marathon or the Sant Ferran-La Savina 8k, you have one more reason to savor the island! Coinciding with the most iconic sporting event of the year, Formentera’s Setmanes Gastronòmiques are being held from May 12th to 25th, a perfect opportunity to regain strength and enjoy local cuisine after crossing the finish line.
During these weeks, a selection of the island’s restaurants will offer special menus for €25 (drinks not included), designed to showcase traditional Formentera products and recipes with an innovative twist.
Plus, just by participating, you can win €500. How? By voting for your favorite restaurant using the QR code found in the establishments. And if you show the receipt from one of the participating restaurants, you’ll get €5 off 1 kg of artisanal ice cream at the LaDacrem gelateria.
