Xevi Lluch and Geles Gimeno (Oysho Running Club) have won the XV Mitja Marató de Formentera, held today starting in Far de la Mola and arriving in La Savina. Lluch has successfully won the men's event, with a time of 1h11'21", more than two minutes ahead of second place, Alejandro Sansabas (1h13'56"). Third was Pere Mayor (1h14'42”). In women, the test has been more even and has not been resolved until the last meters, between the runners of the Oysho Running Club, who have monopolized the podium, with Geles Gimeno in first position, with a time of 1h23'05", followed by María García (1h23'34”) and Judit Pujol (1h24'23”). A total of 2,000 participants started at 6 p.m. at the Far de la Mola with fantastic weather conditions to face the 21,095 meters of a half marathon.
Once again this year, the Mitja Marató de Formentera and the 8K Sant Ferran-La Savina have once again been a great organizational and participation success, making Formentera the island of sports throughout the weekend. The test has once again offered the possibility of crossing the island from end to end until completing the 21,095 meters of a half marathon, which is a great incentive for participants and a unique experience.
With the awards ceremony at Savina, which was attended by Hugo Martínez, insular councilor of Physical Activities and Sports, and Paco Ferrer, director of the AETIB, as well as representatives of the main sponsors, a new edition of the Mitja Marató de Formentera.
