The organization of the XIV Mitja Marató de Formentera and the 8KM Sant Ferran-La Savina, which will be held on May 13, 2023, announces the result of the draw carried out before a notary today in Formentera to award the places, after the process has finished of pre-registration there would be more applications for participation than total places available.

In the draw held this morning at the Formentera Council headquarters, 1,364 places for the Mitja Marató and 923 places for the 8km Sant Ferran-La Savina have been drawn. For the long test, the pre-registered winners have been those with the registration number between 1,022 and 2,385. For the short test, those between 5,725 and 6,647.

Once the draw has been made, the winners can confirm their registration between December 20 and January 16, 2023 through the official website of the event: www.marato-formentera.com.

It should be remembered that the habitual residents of Formentera and the participants in five or more editions were left out of this pre-registration process and the draw, who in both cases had preference for a place.

As has been customary in recent editions of the event, which has the institutional sponsorship of the Consell de Formentera and the Government of the Balearic Islands, the great demand for participation and the island’s own territorial limitations, force the organization to establish this registration system to cover the 3,000 participants allowed between both races for the 2023 edition.
