The Minister of Tourism of Formentera, Artal Mayans, and the Minister of Physical and Sports Activities, Hugo Martínez, today presented the XV Mitja Marató Illa de Formentera and the 8K Sant Ferran-La Savina, which will bring together 3,000 athletes this Saturday the 11th. Manuel Hernández, director of the event, highlighted that "the event has once again covered the limit of participants -3,000 for both events-, another example of its relevance and consolidation in the national and international calendar." As for new features compared to previous years, Hernández has pointed out that the route through La Savina maintains the change introduced last year in the last 500 meters, so the runners will have to turn onto Gregal Street when they come from es Pujols in instead of going out onto the main road. In addition, shower points will be installed along the route to refresh the runners.

The start of both races will be at 6:00 p.m.; the Mitja Marató, as usual, from the Mola lighthouse; and the 8K, from Sant Ferran. The joint goal will be located in La Savina, as in previous editions.
