The president of the Formentera Council, Óscar Portas, and the organizer of the Mitja Marató Illa de Formentera, Manuel Hernández, director of Unisport Consulting, have announced today, during the presentation of the XVI Mitja Marató Illa de Formentera and the 8K Sant Ferran-La Savina, that they will run here on May 17, which will take place in 2026. In concrete terms, the dates on which the two events will be held are the 9th and 16th of May, and are comprised of two identical competitions, both of which are characteristic, separated by just one set of days, with a registration offer between both of 7,000 participants (4,600 for the Mitja and 2,400 for the 8K), duplicating the name of the runners who finish the race and who will attend each edition.
